About Fondo Proceso

Our Story

Beginning in 2010 as the grant-making function of CASEP, Fondo Proceso supports women’s associations in Central America which:

  • Provide opportunities to women to learn new skills and develop their leadership capabilities within their communities and beyond, leading to gender equality.
  • Provide long-term follow-up and organization that fosters the creation of diverse community projects led by women.
  • Develop solar cooking technology that is consistent with the needs of women and families now cooking with firewood or natural gas, promoting health and preserving the natural environment.
  • Encourage self-sufficiency and long-term sustainability of autonomous community groups in Central America.
